BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Kyle MacKinnon scored the winner in a shootout to lift the St. John's IceCaps to a 4-3 comeback victory over the Binghamton Senators in American Hockey League action on Wednesday.

John Albert, Carl Klingberg and Chase Balisy — with the tying goal at 7:52 of the third period — scored for the IceCaps (9-8-5), who rallied back from a 3-0 deficit.

Shane Prince scored twice for the Senators (7-8-3), with Chris Wideman also finding the back of the net.

St. John's goalie Connor Hellebuyck stopped 42 shots through regulation and overtime and six more in the shootout. Binghamton's Scott Greenham made 29 saves and turned aside five IceCaps skaters in the shootout before giving up the goal to MacKinnon.

St. John's was 1 for 3 on the man advantage while the Senators failed to score on their only power-play chance.
