The Canadian Football League Alumni Association and Hamilton Tiger-Cat Alumni Association is offering the chance to get up close and personal with a piece of CFL infamy as part of "Still Mosca", an Alzheimer's Society and the CFLAA Support Fund charity fundraiser to honour Hall of Famer Angelo Mosca.

The cane that Mosca used in his fight with Joe Kapp at a CFL alumni luncheon in Vancouver in 2011 will be on display, along with a long list of marquee items from the former Tiger-Cats and professional wrestling legend's career.

Fans will even have the chance to bid to use the cane on a 6-foot tall piñata of Kapp.

Some of the other items that will be at the event include:  the Grey Cup, the NWA Canadian Championship Wrestling Belt and Mosca's 1965 Grey Cup Championship ring.

"I can't believe what the kids, Helen my wife and the community are doing," said Mosca. "It has brought out a great deal of emotion looking back at my life.  I am very excited at seeing a few old friends with new teeth."

The event, which will be held at Carmen's Banquet Centre in Hamilton on August 26th, will also celebrate both Mosca's football and wrestling careers.

To that end there will be a strong celebrity presence with guests such as, Mike "Pinball" Clemons, Doug Gilmour, five-time Canadian heavyweight champion and two-time world heavyweight title challenger George Chuvalo, TSN's Brian Williams and Matt Dunigan, and comedian Mike Bullard among many others.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to "The Angelo Mosca Fund", in support of Alzheimer's Canada research and the provision of local Alzheimer services in the Hamilton area, and a portion of the funds earmarked for the CFL Alumni and Ticats Association to assist their members in need.

Donations can be made directly to the Angelo Mosca fund (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/alzheimersocietyfoundationofbrant-haldimandnorfolk-hamiltonhalton/ )

You will be issued a tax receipt through Canada helps.

Tickets for the event are $125 plus HST and are available through the Carmen's Box Office by calling 905-387-0007 or by visiting www.tickets.carmens.com to purchase online.
