All Paul?

With the Atlanta Hawks sending Jeff Teague to the Indiana Pacers and Al Horford already in free agency there may be more assets heading out of Atlanta. TSN's Josh Lewenberg expects the Toronto Raptors to pursue All-Star Forward Paul Millsap again after the team showed interest in him leading up to this year's trade deadline.

The 31-year-old is coming off a season where he was selected to his third consecutive All-Star Game after averaging 17.1 points and 9.0 rebounds.

Millsap has played in 70 plus games in nine of his 10 seasons since being drafted 47th overall by the Utah Jazz in 2006. The only season he played under 70 games was during a lockout shortened season in 2011-2012.

Murray wants to join the Wolf Pack

Kentucky head coach John Calipari believes star guard Jamal Murray would like to hear the Minnesota Timberwolves call his name with the fifth overall pick on the NBA draft on Thursday.

“I’m saying this to you and no one else. He loves Minnesota," Calipari said on a conference call, according to ESPN. "As a matter of fact, that’s where he’d like to go.”

Murray would play alongside fellow Ontario native Andrew Wiggins in Minnesota as well as Kentucky alum Karl-Anthony Towns.

It has been rumoured that the Timberwolves are shopping their fifth overall pick in hopes of reuniting head coach Tom Thibodeau with his old All-Star guard Jimmy Butler, but nothing further has developed.

Third man out

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Boston Celtics are looking to trade their 3rd overall pick in the upcoming NBA draft for a proven NBA player.

Names that Boston are looking to pursue include Chicago's Jimmy Butler, Utah’s Gordon Hayward, and Milwaukee teammates Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton.

Danny Ainge is no stranger to blockbuster deals involving top picks, as he traded the fifth overall pick in 2007 in a deal that involved Ray Allen coming to Boston. Ainge added Kevin Garnett that year in free agency which culminated in an NBA title.

The Celtics are coming off a surprise season that saw them finish fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 48-34 record before being eliminated in the opening round of the playoffs by the Atlanta Hawks.

Leaving the nest

Hawks free agent Al Horford is reportedly drawing interest from multiple teams across the NBA including the Lakers, Magic and Pistons.

The four time All-Star was surrounded by trade rumours leading up to the 2016 trade deadline, but ultimately stayed in Atlanta where he has spent his entire nine-year career.

The 30-year-old Horford is coming off of his fourth consecutive season averaging over 15 points per game on better than 50 per cent shooting.
