NORTH BAY, Ont. — Brett McKenzie scored the decisive goal in the shootout to lift the North Bay Battalion to a 5-4 victory over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action on Thursday.

Brad Chenier, Steve Harland and Cam Dineen scored second-period goals for North Bay (7-6-0) and Adam Thilander tied the game with under two minutes to play in the third.

Grayden Gottschalk, Kyle MacLean, Jack Studnicka and Medric Mercier scored for the Generals (7-5-1).

Battalion goaltender Brent Moran stopped 40 shots through 65 minutes and turned aside 3-of-4 skaters in the shootout.

Oshawa's Jeremy Brodeur made 30 saves and 2-of-4 in the tiebreaker.

North Bay scored one power-play goal on two chances while the Generals converted on both their power-play opportunities.

OTTERS 5 COLTS 2

ERIE, Pa. — Alex DeBrincat scored two goals, including one shorthanded, and set up two more to power the Otters past Barrie.

Taylor Raddysh had a goal and two assists for Erie (9-3-1), which raced out to a 5-0 lead by the halfway point of the second period. Brett Neumann and Kyle Pettit rounded out the attack.

Giordano Finoro and Anthony Stefano scored for the Colts (5-6-2).

ICEDOGS 5 SPIRIT 3

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Oliver Castleman's goal midway through the third period stood as the winner as the IceDogs snapped a five-game slide with a victory over Saginaw.

Johnny Corneil, Matthew Philip, Hayden Davis and Christopher Paquette also scored for Niagara (4-7-1).

Mitchell Stephens led the Spirit (2-8-2) with a goal and an assist. Brady Gilmour and Kris Bennett had the other goals.

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Dylan Wells stopped 36 shots and four different skaters found the back of the net as the Petes doubled up Flint.

Cole Fraser, Nick Isaacson, Logan DeNoble and Adam Timleck scored for Peterborough (6-5-2).

Mathieu Henderson scored both goals for the Firebirds (7-6-1), who got a 30-save performance from Garrett Forrest.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Gabriel Vilardi broke a 2-2 tie midway through the second period and the Spitfires never looked back en route to victory over Sault Ste. Marie.

Aaron Luchuk, Cristiano DiGiacinto, Logan Brown and Jeremiah Addison, into an empty net, supplied the rest of the offence for Windsor (9-4-0).

Tim Gettinger and Morgan Frost scored for the Greyhounds (8-5-1).
