HAMILTON - Joni Ortio made 23 saves as the Adirondack Flames shut out the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-0 on Saturday night in American Hockey League action.

Sven Baertschi had a four-point night for the Flames (19-12-2), scoring once and adding three assists. Emile Poirier scored twice and added an assist, while Nolan Yonkman and Bill Arnold rounded out the attack for Adirondack, the Calgary Flames' affiliate.

Joey MacDonald turned aside 29 shots in goal for Hamilton (14-13-5), the Montreal Canadiens farm team.

The Flames scored twice on five power-play chances while the Bulldogs were 0 for 5.
