MONCTON, N.B. - Alex Loiseau scored twice — including the winner at 13:11 of the third period — as the Rimouski Oceanic extended their win streak to five games with a 3-2 victory over the host Moncton Wildcats on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Tyler Bolland also struck for the Oceanic (34-13-3), who jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Moncton came back to tie it with two second-period goals.

Ivan Barbashev scored both goals for the Wildcats (33-15-3), who had their four-game win streak halted.

Rimouski's Louis-Phillip Guindon made 28 saves for the win as Alex Dubeau kicked out 30-of-33 shots for Moncton.

The Oceanic went 0 for 2 on the power play while the Wildcats failed to score on seven chances with the man advantage.

MOOSEHEADS 4 PHOENIX 1

HALIFAX — Nikolaj Ehlers had a goal and an assist — increasing his point streak to 26 games — as the Mooseheads toppled Sherbrooke.

Timo Meier, who extended his point streak to 20 games, Philippe Gadoury and Andrew Schewfelt also scored for Halifax (25-22-4), which got a 24-save outing from Kevin Resop.

Carl Neill found the back of the net for the Phoenix (29-18-4), who had their five-game win streak snapped, and Evan Fitzpatrick turned away 25-of-28 shots.

Sherbrooke's Jeremy Roy was handed a game misconduct at 16:23 of the third period for a checking to the head penalty. Halifax's Kelly Bent and Ryan Falkenham were given game misconducts on the same stoppage of play for instigating a fight in the final five minutes of regulation.

QUEBEC CITY — Adam Erne and Vladimir Tkachev each had a pair of goals as the Remparts handed Gatineau its fourth loss in a row.

Nikolas Brouillard, Kurt Etchegary and Anthony Duclair each added a goal and an assist for Quebec (30-18-3) as Zachary Fucale made 21 saves for the win.

Alex Dostie paced the Olympiques (19-29-4) with two goals and Joey Ritchard and Alexandre Landreville each scored once. Francois Brassard stopped 19-of-25 shots in defeat.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Mason McDonald made 39 saves and Daniel Sprong scored once and set up two more as Charlottetown downed the Cataractes.

Kameron Kielly, Oliver Cooper, Ryan MacKinnon and Ross Johnston also scored for the Islanders (26-21-4).

Gabriel Slight supplied the scoring for Shawinigan (27-20-3). Antoine Samuel allowed two goals on eight shots and was replaced at the start of the second period by Marvin Cupper, who stopped 19-of-22 shots in relief.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Carl Marois scored twice and Chase Marchand made 29 saves as the Tigres snapped an eight-game slide by defeating Chicoutimi.

Mathieu Ayotte, Samule Blais and Angelo Miceli also scored for Victoriaville (22-23-6).

Louis-Philippe Simard struck for the Sagueneens (21-23-5). Julio Billia stopped 22-of-27 shots through 40 minutes of action. Storm Phaneuf came in for the third period and made 10 saves.
