ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Evan Rankin scored twice, including the winner 2:39 into overtime, as the Rochester Americans edged the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs 3-2 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Dan Catenacci also scored for the Americans (26-33-6), who halted a four-game skid, while Rankin tacked on an assist for a three-point night.

Charles Hudon and Eric Tangradi supplied the offence for the Bulldogs (31-25-11), who trailed 2-0 before battling back to pick up a point.

Rochester's Anthony Peters made 36 saves for the win as Hamilton's Mike Condon turned away 21-of-24 shots.

The Americans went 1 for 1 with the man advantage. The Bulldogs failed to earn a power play.
