OTTAWA - The Ottawa Redblacks hired Bryan Chiu as their new offensive line coach Tuesday.

Chiu, a 40-year-old Vancouver native, spent last season as the Toronto Argonauts offensive line coach. Before that, he served as the offensive line coach and assistant offensive co-ordinator of the Concordia Stingers (2010-'13).

Chiu is reunited with Jason Maas, Ottawa's new offensive co-ordinator who spent three seasons as Toronto's receivers-quarterback coach.

"Bryan understands the CFL and specifically offensive line play in the CFL," Ottawa head coach Rick Campbell said in a statement. "Bryan is up and coming with a long successful career as a player and a promising career as a coach in the CFL."

Chiu spent his entire 13-year CFL career as an offensive lineman with the Montreal Alouettes. A seven-time all-star, Chiu won two Grey Cups with the Als (2002, '09) and was the league's top lineman in '02.
