Last year was Stamps' first with the Alouettes after eight years with the Edmonton Eskimos. The 34-year-old finished with 40 receptions for 470 yards and five touchdowns last year.

For his career, Stamps, a four-time CFL All-Star, has 536 receptions for 8,411 yards and 54 touchdowns.

The Alouettes also appeared to have granted backup quarterback Dan LeFevour his early release Monday.

LeFevour, who was scheduled to hit free agency February 9, asked for his release to get an early start on looking for another opportunity.
