Another former Toronto Argonauts receiver is close to finding work just days after the team jettisoned four in a big roster shakeup.

According to a report from Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are finalizing an agreement with Kevin Elliott.

Elliott was released by the Ticats East Division rival Argonauts earlier this week, alongside Tori Gurley, who officially signed with the Edmonton Eskimos earlier Thursday, Vidal Hazelton, and Phil Bates.

Elliott has 23 receptions for 294 yards and two touchdowns in eight games this season. For his career, the 27-year-old Florida A&M product has 73 receptions for 936 yards and 10 touchdowns in 24 games.

With Chad Owens expected to miss the remainder of the season - also reported by Edwards - Elliott could find plenty of work in the Ticats' receiving corps.
