Toronto Rock captain Colin Doyle suffered a season-ending upper body injury away from the game that will require surgery on Monday.

Doyle missed the last three games and was originally expected to be back in the lineup this weekend.

Upon further examination, the team's medical staff determined he would require surgery that would bring his season to abrupt halt.

The 38-year-old veteran was third in team scoring with 45 points in 10 games.
