The Saskatchewan Roughriders will turn to Seth Doege at pivot on Friday when they play the Calgary Stampeders.

Roughriders head coach Corey Chamblin announced the decision on Wednesday, giving Doege the nod over fellow quarterback Tino Sunseri.

The Roughriders quarterback situation has been unsettled since starter Darian Durant suffered a torn tendon on September 7 and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Both Sunseri and Doege struggled while playing in the Roughriders 24-0 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos last week. Sunseri completed six of 12 passes for 53 yards with an interception, while Doege went 5-of-11 for 61 yards with an interception.

The Roughriders sit third in the West Division with a 9-4 record. The team is 1-2 since losing Durant.
