Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Maurice Price has made the decision to retire.

Price was acquired by the Roughriders in January and had signed a contract extension with the team.

The product of Charleston Southern played four seasons in the CFL, including three with the Calgary Stampeders where he won a Grey Cup in 2014.

Last season, the 30-year-old Price joined the high-powered offence of the Ottawa Redblacks and returned to the Grey Cup in a loss to the Edmonton Eskimos.

Over his 47-game CFL career, the Orlando native averaged almost 50 yards per game in receiving yards.
