BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Michael Spacek's power-play goal in the first period was the eventual winner as the Manitoba Moose skated past the Belleville Senators 4-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Darren Kramer, Nic Petan and Mason Appleton also scored as Manitoba (27-10-5), the AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, built a 4-0 lead. Captain Patrice Cormier had three assists, while Eric Comrie made 23 saves.

Max McCormick had a short-handed goal for Belleville (18-23-3), the minor league club of the Ottawa Senators. Danny Taylor stopped 25-of-29 shots.

The Moose went 1 for 4 on the power play and the Senators could not score on their two man advantages.
