Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman Junior Turner underwent knee surgery this week and will be out at least two weeks.
Turner started the season on the six-game injury list before being activated for in Week 4.
The Toronto native has started nine games this season, making 14 tackles and two sacks.
Defensive tackle Quinn Smith is a candidate to fill the void when he returns next week from a three-game suspension for a failed drug test.
The Stampeders host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday in a battle of the two hottest teams in the CFL.
