Veteran free-agent tight end Martellus Bennett appears to be ready to hang up his cleats.

"I’ve decided to move on from the world of football and into the fantastical and wondrous world of creativity," Bennett tweeted "I’m beginning what I believe to be my life’s work."

Bennett, 31, is the founder of the "Imagination Agency," which develops various types of creative material geared towards children.

In terms of the gridiron, Bennett just completed his tenth NFL season. After beginning 2017 with the Green Bay Packers, the team waived Bennett because of medical reasons. He was claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots on Nov. 9, but was ultimately placed on injured reserve later that month.

A product of Texas A&M, Bennett was drafted in the second of the 2008 draft (61st overall) by the Dallas Cowboys. His older brother Michael is a nine-year veteran at defensive end, who currently plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. On Friday, authorities in Houston announced that a warrant has been issued for the defensive end, who is accused of injuring a paraplegic woman at the site of Super Bowl LI.

The younger Bennett owns career numbers of 433 receptions, 4773 yards and three touchdowns.
