The Hamilton Tiger-Cats acquired Canadian defensive back Shane Herbert from the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Monday in exchange for the rights to a negotiation list player.

Herbert, 27, has recorded four tackles and broken up two passes in seven games with the Riders this season.

He spent 2013-2015 with the Toronto Argonauts before joining the Riders as a free agent in June.
