The Hamilton Tiger-Cats did some front office shuffling Friday, appointing Eric Tillman as the club’s new general manager.

Tillman, who has been with the club since 2013, takes over the roll from Kent Austin, who will remain as Vice-President of Football Operations and Head Coach of the Ticats.

“Eric has a wealth of experience and knowledge with respect to the game of football and the Canadian Football League, and has been a great resource for us the past three seasons,” Austin said in a team release. “He will now be based out of our Hamilton office and we felt the need to better define his role with the club as his involvement increases moving forward.”

Tillman has general manager experience with five CFL clubs: the BC Lions, Toronto Argonauts, Ottawa Renegades, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Edmonton Eskimos.

The Ticats also announced Drew Allemang has been promoted to Assistant General Manager and Director of Canadian Scouting, and Shawn Burke to Assistant General Manager and Director of Football Operations.
