MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Max Gerlach scored in overtime as the Medicine Hat Tigers clawed back from a four-goal deficit to edge the Moose Jaw Warriors 5-4 in Western Hockey League action on Wednesday.

Zach Fischer started the Medicine Hat (4-1-0) rally with his first goal of the game 5:03 into the third period. His second, with 2:12 left in regulation, tied the game 4-4.

John Dahlstrom and Mason Shaw also scored for the Tigers, who got an 18-save performance from Nick Scheider.

Nikita Popugaev had a goal and an assist for the Warriors (3-0-2), who got out to a 4-0 lead over the first two periods. Luke Burzan, Brett Howden and Jayden Halbgewachs also scored.

Zach Sawchenko stopped 56 shots in the losing effort.

ROCKETS 6 HURRICANES 3

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Calvin Thurkauf scored twice and Kelowna rattled off four straight goals en route to victory over the Hurricanes.

Gordie Ballhorn, Kole Line, Thomas Soustal and Jordan Borstmayer had the other goals for the Rockets (2-4-0).

Colton Kroeker, Jesse Zaharichuk and Tyler Wong scored for Lethbridge (3-2-0).

WINTERHAWKS 5 RAIDERS 3

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Cody Class scored twice, including the winner on a power play in the second period, as Portland held on for the victory after staving off a late Raiders comeback.

Evan Weinger, Colton Veloso and Joachim Blichfeld, into an empty net late in the third period, scored for the Winterhawks (4-2-0), who got out to a 4-0 lead before conceding three straight goals.

Sean Montgomery, Cole Fonstad and Simon Stransky replied for Prince Albert (2-3-0).

REBELS 5 BLAZERS 4

RED DEER, Alta. — Josh Mahura scored the decider midway through the third period, capping a run of five straight Rebels goals in a victory over Kamloops.

Austin Pratt scored twice for Red Deer (2-2-2), which bounced back from a three-goal deficit. Akash Bains and Bandon Hagel had a goal and an assist apiece.

Deven Sideroff scored two goals three minutes apart in the first period for the Blazers (2-4-0). Matt Revel and Rudolfs Balcers rounded out the offence.

ROYALS 3 GIANTS 2

VANCOUVER — Jack Walker scored three times to power Victoria over the Giants.

Ryan Gagnon assisted on two of Walker's goals, including the Royals' (2-3-0) winner at 2:04 of the third.

Ty Ronning and Brendan Semchuk supplied the offence for Vancouver (1-5-0).

SILVERTIPS 3 AMERICANS 1

EVERETT, Wash. — Noah Juulsen had a goal and an assist to lead the Silvertips over Tri-City.

Dominic Zwerger and Graham Millar also scored for Everett (4-0-1).

Maxwell James had the lone goal for the Americans (2-3-0), giving his team a 1-0 lead late in the first period.
