VICTORIA — Matthew Phillips struck twice as the Victoria Royals doubled up the Tri-City Americans 4-2 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Ryan Peckford had a power-play goal and two helpers for Victoria (11-7-2), with Jack Walker adding the other.

Dylan Coghlan and Vladislav Lukin responded in the third period for the Americans (12-7-1), who had a four-game winning streak snapped.

Griffen Outhouse made 32 saves for the win. Rylan Parenteau kicked out 26-of-30 shots in defeat.

The Royals were 1 for 4 on the power play while Tri-City scored once on five chances.

BRANDON, Man. — Ty Lewis had two goals and an assist while Reid Duke tacked on three helpers as the Wheat Kings beat Red Deer.

Stelio Mattheos scored once and added two assists for Brandon (8-7-3) with Kale Clague and Tyler Coulter also chipping in. Jordan Papirny made 32 saves.

Michael Spacek and Dawson Martin found the back of the net for the Rebels (9-8-2). Lasse Petersen turned aside 21-of-24 shots in 53:16. Riley Lamb started but was pulled after failing to stop the two shots he faced.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Garrett Pilon and Deven Sideroff had a goal and two assists apiece as the Blazers beat Prince Albert.

Shaun Dosanjh, Rudolfs Balcers and Erik Miller scored for Kamloops (11-9-1) while Connor Ingram made 21 saves.

Brendan Guhle and Austin Glober had goals for the Raiders (5-12-1). Ian Scott started but was pulled after stopping 15-of-19 shots in 24:49. Nicholas Saunders stopped 16 shots in relief.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Dominic Zwerger scored the eventual winner in the second period and Carter Hart made 23 saves as Everett slipped past the Winterhawks.

Patrick Bajkov opened the scoring on the power play for the Silvertips (14-2-2).

Keegan Iverson answered in the third for Portland (8-12-0), which dropped its ninth straight.

KENT, Wash. — Jakob Stukel scored the winner early in the third and Cody Porter made 27 saves as Calgary got past the Thunderbirds.

Beck Malenstyn had a power-play goal and Matteo Gennaro added an empty netter for the Hitmen (7-5-2).

Ethan Bear scored in the third for Seattle (7-8-1), which got 13 saves from Rylan Toth.
