Asst. GM Murphy leaving Stamps for Riders
Calgary Stampeders assistant general manager/director of player personnel John Murphy is set to join Chris Jones and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. According to TSN CFL Insider Gary Lawless, Murphy will serve as vice president and director of player personnel under Jones.

According to TSN CFL Insider Gary Lawless, Murphy will serve as vice president and director of player personnel under Jones, after being a finalist for the Riders general manager job.
Lawless notes Murphy impressed Riders president Craig Reynolds in his general manager interview and is regarded highly among personnel workers in the CFL.
Jones was named head coach and general manager of the Roughriders on Monday, less than one month after winning the Grey Cup with the Edmonton Eskimos.
