The Chicago Bears have signed receiver John Chiles to a reserve/future contract.

The deal comes on the same day the 26-year-old was released from the Toronto Argonauts.

Chiles was slated to become a free agent on February 10.

Last season, the Texas product caught 29 passes for 475 yards and one touchdown in just eight games.

In 2013, Chiles had 44 receptions for 725 yards and eight majors in 11 games.

Chiles signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2011 but was quickly waived. He inking a deal with the St. Louis Rams' practice squad three months later before making the jump to the CFL in 2013.
