Blue Jays activate Sanchez, option Delabar
The Toronto Blue Jays activated Aaron Sanchez off the disabled list on Saturday. The 23-year-old was placed on the DL June 14 with a right lat strain. Sanchez appeared in five games with the Blue Jays' triple-A affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons, on a rehab assignment. He pitched one inning of relief Thursday and allowed no runs, no hits and one walk.

Sanchez appeared in five games with the Blue Jays' triple-A affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons, on a rehab assignment. He pitched one inning of relief Thursday and allowed no runs, no hits and one walk.
Earlier in the week, Sanchez struggled against the Syracuse Chiefs, the triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. In two-thirds of an inning, the 2010 first-round draft pick allowed two runs (both unearned), one hit, one strikeout and walked two.
Prior to his injury, Sanchez went 5-4 with a 3.55 earned-run average in 11 starts for the Blue Jays.
Toronto optioned reliever Steve Delabar in a corresponding move. The 32-year-old went 2-0 with a 3.33 ERA in 27 appearances for the Jays this year.
The Jays are currently in Seattle facing the Mariners in a three-game series.
