The Toronto Blue Jays signed catcher Josh Thole to a one-year, $800,000 contract on Friday. The 29-year-old appeared in 18 games for Toronto last season, his third season with the Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays signed catcher Josh Thole to a one-year, $800,000 contract on Friday.
The 29-year-old Thole is a career .249 hitter with eight home runs and 104 RBI in 428 games.
He is a veteran of seven Major League seasons with New York Mets and Blue Jays.
The Breese, Illinois native appeared in 18 games for Toronto last season, his third season with the Blue Jays.
