The Toronto Blue Jays have signed left-hander Andrew Albers to a minor league contract.

Albers, a native of North Battleford, Sask. last picthed in the majors in 2013 as a member of the Minnesota Twins.

The 29-year-old spent 2014 with Korea's Hanwha Eagles.

He made 10 starts with the Twins in 2013, going 2-5 with a 4.05 earned run average and a 1.18 WHIP. It is his only MLB experience to date. Albers started 2013 with back-to-back shutouts, logging 17.1 innings over the two starts.
