ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Eric Comrie earned his first win in the American Hockey League as the St. John's IceCaps toppled the visiting Hershey Bears 5-1 on Saturday.

Comrie, who recently joined the IceCaps after finishing his junior season in the Western Hockey League, turned away 21-of-22 shots as St. John's snapped a six-game skid.

Chase Balisy, Scott Kosmachuk, Patrice Cormier, J.C. Lipon and Julien Brouillette supplied the offence for the IceCaps (31-33-11).

Jim O'Brien scored for the Bears (44-21-8), who got a 29-save outing from Pheonix Copley.

St. John's went 2 for 5 on the power play while Hershey scored once on eight chances with the man advantage.
