IRVING, Texas - The Cowboys have re-signed right tackle Doug Free, keeping the oldest player among a group of emerging stars on a standout line that blocked for NFL rushing leader DeMarco Murray last season.

The three-year deal announced Saturday is reportedly worth $15 million, with $6 million guaranteed.

The 31-year-old Free will be back with three young Pro Bowl selections in left tackle Tyron Smith, centre Travis Frederick and right guard Zack Martin, who was Dallas' first rookie All-Pro since Calvin Hill in 1969.

Free, who had off-season surgery on his left ankle but should be ready for training camp, started at left tackle for two seasons before switching places with Smith in 2012. He took a pay cut to stay with Dallas last season.
