After failing to find an NFL home after the draft, former Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams is looking north.

Adams was not signed by the Washington Redskins after a weekend tryout and is now in negotiations with the B.C. Lions, according to TSN's Farhan Lalji.

Adams transferred to Oregon prior to the 2015 season after spending three years at Eastern Washington University. He threw for 2,643 yards with 26 touchdowns to six interceptions.  Oregon finished the season 9-4.

Adams is expected to compete for the third-string role with the Lions.

In other Lions related news, former draft pick Brett Boyko was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles Monday. The Lions haven't yet reached out to the offensive lineman, according to Lalji, because they expect him to exhaust all NFL opportunities before entertaining a CFL offer.
