Mark Hunt and his heavy hands are not ready to call it quits any time soon.

The 42-year-old New Zealand native signed a multi-fight deal to remain in the UFC. The contract was announced Wednesday and although the terms were not disclosed, New Zealand website Stuff.co.nz is reporting the contract is for six fights in 30 months and in the “multi-million dollar” price range.

Hunt (12-10-1) believes that the length of the deal gives him enough time to earn an elusive heavyweight title shot and the gold.

“It’s not about the money,” Hunt told Stuff.co.nz. “Of course I had to get paid for my work, but I want that title. Dana gave me a message, and we talked about it. There were some back-and-forth negotiations.”

“I think I still deserve a title shot, and in the end, I thought six fights should do it. I’m glad to finish my career at the top end with the UFC. I want to bring the gold Down Under.”

Hunt is No. 8 in the UFC heavyweight rankings and his coming off a first-round knockout of former champion Frank Mir at UFC Fight Night 85 in March.
