TORONTO - The Toronto Rock are still winless to open the 2016 National Lacrosse League season after falling 20-17 to the Georgia Swarm on Friday.

Shayne Jackson and Lyle Thompson led the Georgia offence with 10-point outings. Jackson had four goals and six assists while Thompson added two goals and eight helpers.

Toronto is 0-5 to open a season for the first time in franchise history.

Johnny Powless had a four-goal night to go along with three assists, Kiel Matisz scored once and had seven assists, Jesse King had two goals and four assists, Miles Thompson had a pair of goals and assists while Randy Staats produced a hat trick for the Swarm (2-2). Jordan MacIntosh and Chad Tutton rounded out the offence with a goal each.

Rob Hellyer led the Rock (0-5) with three goals and seven assists while Stephen LeBlanc had a seven-point game, including four goals. Colin Doyle produced two goals and six assists, Brett Hickey had three goals and two assists and Kasey Beirness struck twice. Dan Lintner, Brodie Merrill and Rob Marshall each scored once.

Georgia's Brodie Thompson made 29 saves in 50:17 of action while Zach Higgins allowed three goals on six shots in relief.
