Kyle Lowry continues to get closer to a return from wrist surgery.

Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said Wednesday the point guard has started taking shots with his surgically repaired wrist, adding there remains no timetable yet for his return.

Lowry has been out since February 24 with the injury to his left wrist.

The All-Star said in an interview with ESPN earlier this week he hopes to return in the next couple weeks.

The hope since his injury occurred was that Lowry would return to action before the playoffs. The Raptors take on the Charlotte Hornets Wednesday, their eighth-last game of the regular season.
