DETROIT - Juan Pablo Montoya is set to start from the pole in the IndyCar race at Belle Isle after qualifying was halted on a windy, rainy day in the Detroit area.

The two qualifying groups were each given 20-minute periods Sunday. Sage Karam had the best time in the first group, but he was out of luck when the second group wasn't able to finish. The starting grid was instead set up based on points standings, giving Montoya the top spot.

The weather has been a problem all weekend at Belle Isle. Saturday's IndyCar race was stopped after 47 of a possible 70 laps were completed, with Carlos Munoz declared the winner.
