HALIFAX - Nikolaj Ehlers extended his point streak to 18 games on Thursday as the Halifax Mooseheads edged the visiting Drummondville Voltigeurs 3-2 in a shootout in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The Winnipeg Jets prospect was the only player to beat Drummondville's Anthony Brodeur in regulation, scoring twice to give him 18 goals and 47 points during his recent run. Ehlers, who recently represented Denmark at the world junior championship, is averaging 2.11 point-per game through 26 contests this season.

Cavan Fitzgerald scored the shootout winner for the Mooseheads (22-18-3), who won their third game in a row.

Brodeur gave the Voltigeurs (21-20-3) a chance to earn two points by kicking out 54-of-56 shots through regulation and overtime — including all 24 his way in the third period — as Adam Chapman scored both goals for his club.

Halifax went 1 for 7 on the power play while Drummondville scored once on two chances with the man advantage.
