CHARLOTTETOWN - Alexandre Goulet scored two goals — including the winner with 2:09 to play — and assisted on three more as the Charlottetown Islanders slipped past the Saint John Sea Dogs 6-5 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action on Thursday.

Filip Chlapik had two goals and two assists for the Islanders (14-12-2), and Bradley Kennedy and Ross Johnston also scored.

Samuel Dove-McFalls had a goal and an assist for the Maritimes Division-leading Sea Dogs (15-6-4), while Thomas Chabot, Nathan Noel, Matthew Highmore, and Mathieu Joseph rounded out the offence.

Charlottetown goaltender Mason McDonald made 31 saves in the victory. Saint John's Sebastien Auger stopped 32 shots in the losing effort.

The Islanders were 1 for 6 on the power play while the Sea Dogs scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

BATHURST, N.B. — Nikita Jevpalovs scored three goals to lead Blainville-Boisbriand past the Titans.

Emil Aronsson also scored for the Armada (15-7-3), who outshot Acadie-Bathurst 24-18.

Nicholas Blanchard had the lone goal for the Titan (8-18-2).

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Timo Meier scored four goals — three of them on the power play — and Nikolaj Ehlers chipped in with five assists as Halifax doubled up the Cataractes.

Philippe Gadoury had a goal and two helpers for the Mooseheads (12-12-3), who extended their win streak to three games, and Jesse Lusier rounded out the offence.

Dennis Yan, Gabriel Slight and Anthony Beauvillier replied for Shawinigan (13-12-2).

VAL'd-OR, Que. — Jeremie Fraser had a goal and two assists and Etienne Montpetit made 12 saves as the Foreurs blanked Drummondville.

Anthony Richard, Anthony Beauregard, Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant and Pierre-Maxime Poudrier each had a goal and an assist apiece of Val-d'Or (11-13-4), while Nathan Tremblay rounded out the Foreurs' attack.

Luis-Philip Guindon turned aside 28 shots for the Voltigeurs (12-13-2).
