CHARLOTTETOWN - Mason McDonald only had to make 19 saves and Daniel Sprong and Samuel Blais had a goal and two assists apiece as the Charlottetown Islanders blanked the Halifax Mooseheads 6-0 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Kameron Kielly, Oliver Cooper, Mitchell Balmas and Jake Coughler also scored for the Islanders (17-21-7) while Bradley Kennedy chipped in with two helpers.

Eric Brassard started in net for the Mooseheads (15-25-6) and was pulled after allowing four goals on 13 shots in 16:14 of action. Kevin Resop stopped 20-of-22 shots in relief.

Charlottetown went 2 for 4 on the power play while Halifax failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Olivier LeBlanc scored twice and set up two more as Cape Breton hammered Acadie-Bathurst.

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Nicolas Poulin scored the winner on the power play late in the second as the Phoenix downed Drummondville.

Hugo Roy and Chase Harwell also scored for Sherbrooke (16-23-6).

Michael Carcone kept the Voltigeurs (20-24-1) from being shut out.

Phoenix winger Trevor Stacey was ejected in the first period after receiving a match penalty for checking to the head.
