CHARLOTTETOWN - Miguel Sullivan turned aside 48 shots as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles got past the Charlottetown Islanders 5-3 on Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Kyle Farrell scored twice, once on the power play and once into an empty net, to lead Cape Breton (30-29-6) offensively.

Evgeny Svechnikov, Maxim Lazarev and Phelix Martineau rounded out the attack, as the Screaming Eagles won their third straight.

Bradley Kennedy, Daniel Sprong and Filip Chlapik had goals for Charlottetown (32-28-5). It was the Islanders first regulation loss in six games.

Calgary Flames prospect Mason McDonald kicked out 38-of-42 shots in the loss.

Cape Breton scored once on four power plays while the Islanders also had a goal on five chances.

MONCTON, N.B. — Conor Garland had two goals and two assists as the Wildcats won their fifth straight by doubling Saint John.

Will Smith, Stephen Johnson, Lane Cormier, Ivan Barbashev, William Bower and Zachary Malatesta supplied the rest of the offence for Moncton (44-17-3). Dominic Talbot-Tassi added four assists.

Jakub Zboril struck twice for the Sea Dogs (31-25-9). Daniel Del Paggio and Mathieu Joseph had the others.
