The CFL announced Tuesday that Regina will be the host of the inaugural CFL Week this off-season.

CFL Week will be an off-season gathering that will include several fan engagement events, media access opportunities, a Hall of Fame and player Gala Dinner, coaches' media junket, and passing showcase tournament featuring Canada's top university football programs, the league announced.

The week will be capped with the CFL's National Combine, which is moving from Toronto for 2017.

“CFL Week will bring together everything that is great about our league in one place for one exciting week: important football events such as our national Combine, opportunities for fans to meet and greet our biggest stars, and access for the media to the league’s biggest players and decision makers,” commissioner Jeffrey L. Orridge said in a league release.

“It is an honour for Saskatchewan to be the site of the first ever CFL Week,” Saskatchewan Roughriders president Craig Reynolds said in the league release. “The week long showcase will put current, past, and future CFL stars in front of our amazing fans. We are looking forward to welcoming the entire CFL to our beautiful city and province.”

CFL Week will take place March 20-26 next year.
