The Toronto Blue Jays have signed left-handed pitcher Brett Oberholtzer to a minor-league contract, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports. Oberholtzer, 27, appeared in 37 games with the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Angels last season.

Oberholtzer, 27, appeared in 37 games with the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Angels last season, posting a 3-3 record with a 5.89 ERA.
The contract with the Jays includes an invitation to attend spring training with the team.
He rejected his assignment to Triple-A from the Angels last month and elected instead for free agency.
Oberholtzer owns a career record of 14-23 with a 4.36 ERA since debuting in the MLB with the Houston Astros in 2013.
