Carlos Quentin is reportedly in the process of retiring.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported Friday via Twitter that the 32-year-old outifelder will soon be hanging up his spikes officially.

The Braves acquired Quentin as part of the deal that sent Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton to the Padres in early April. The team released him on Apr. 14.

Quentin signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners on Apr. 22, but left the team's Triple-A affiliate Thursday night, according to Rosenthal.

A two-time All-Star, Quentin has appeared in nine major league seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres.

In 834 career games, the California native hit .252 with 154 home runs and 491 runs batted-in.
