Polarizing NFL prospect, running back Joe Mixon of Oklahoma, has reportedly seen his draft stock rise significantly lately, reports Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman.

Whether Mixon will be drafted continues to remain in question, as he's expected to be blacklisted by many teams during the upcoming NFL Draft because of his involvement in a 2014 altercation where he was caught on video striking a woman in the face.

According to Freeman, Mixon met with an unnamed NFL franchise recently and following the meeting, the team came away impressed with Mixon and even went as far to say that he had "transformed his image" in their eyes.

Freeman cites a representative of the team that says the change is due to the running back’s willingness recently to address character issues that have been attached to him since video of the altercation was released. Not only has Mixon allegedly gained favor with one team, but with other clubs as well. Freeman adds that Mixon is "moving up draft boards" based on conversations the writer has had with people in NFL circles.

Draft experts have repeatedly maintained that the 20-year-old Mixon's skills on the field merit him being selected in the first round. He was not invited to last month's NFL scouting combine, but recently showed well at his pro day.

The 228-pound back ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds, posted a 35-inch vertical jump and went 9 feet, 10 inches in the broad jump. Only two other running backs ran faster than Mixon in the 40-yard dash at the combine.
