According to Darren Rovell of ESPN.com, the owners of the UFC are in advanced talks to sell the business to a bidder.

Sources have told Rovell that at least four companies have submitted bids, with the winning bid expected to have a value of $3.5 to $4 billion.

The companies are believed to be WME/IMG, China Media Capital, The Blackstone Group and Dalian Wanda Group.

The UFC is currently 80 per cent owned by brothers Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, with UFC president Dana White and the government of Abu Dhabi holding minority stakes.

Sources have told ESPN that investors were presented with numbers from Goldman Sachs that listed UFC's full year earnings at between $200-250 million. A new television rights deal is expected to begin in 2019 that could be worth an additional $250 million, according to Goldman Sachs.
