Saskatchewan Roughriders Darian Durant is officially out for Sunday’s Western Semi-Final.
On Friday, TSN contributor Gary Lawless of The Winnipeg Free Press reported that Durant had been downgraded from probable to questionable against the Edmonton Eskimos. Durant did not take reps on Friday and has suffered a setback described as both physical and mental.
As planned, Kerry Joseph will start for the Roughriders, however the team had hoped to use Durant as a backup and possibly have him play.
Tino Sunseri and Seth Doege will serve as Joseph's backups.
Head coach Corey Chamblin reiterated on Friday that he believes Durant is still a full week away from playing.
