The Saskatchewan Roughriders released 2012 first overall pick Ben Heenan on Monday, giving him the opportunity to pursue NFL possibilities. The 6 foot four, 310 pound offensive lineman has played his entire three year career with the Roughriders and won a Grey Cup with the team in 2013.

Heenan, a native of Regina, can now sign with any CFL or NFL team. He is 24-years-old.
