The Calgary Stampeders have booked their trip to the 102nd Grey Cup in Vancouver.

The scoring came early and often as the Stampeders handed the Edmonton Eskimos a 43-18 loss in the Western Final.

The Stampeders got points off touchdowns by Marquay McDaniel, while Jon Cornish and Eric Rogers both had two. Bo Levi Mitchell also rushed for a touchdown.

Edmonton mounted a second-half charge with 14 unanswered points in the third quarter, but the 25-point lead the Stamps took into the second half proved insurmountable.

Calgary will meet the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Nov. 30 Grey Cup game, after the Ticats topped the Montreal Alouettes 40-24 earlier Sunday.

The Ticats are headed to their second straight Grey Cup, having lost to the Saskatchewan Roughriders 45-23 in last year’s final. The Stampeders make their first Final since 2012 when they lost 35-22 to the Toronto Argonauts.

The two teams last met in the Grey Cup game in 1999, when the Ticats beat the Stamps 32-21. That game was also held at BC Place. That game was a rematch of the 1998 Grey Cup, which the Stamps won 26-24.

The Calgary Stampeders lead the Edmonton Eskimos 43-18 in the fourth quarter of the Western Final from McMahon Stadium.

Mike Reilly connected with Adarius Bowman for a 16-yard scoring strike late in the third quarter to cut Calgary's lead to 18 points.

The Stampeders have scored points off touchdown catches by Marquay McDaniel, Jon Cornish, and Eric Rogers with two. Mitchell also has a rushing touchdown while Rene Paredes scored a single on a missed field goal.

Reilly also hit Paris Jackson for an Eskimos' score and Hugh O'Neill has a field goal and punt single for Edmonton.

After coming off the bench for the Eskimos in the Western Semi-Final against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, QB Mike Reilly is active and started for the Eskimos.

And on the other side of the ball the Stampeders welcomed back pass rusher Charleston Hughes, who missed the past two months with an ankle injury.

Both Reilly and Stampeders QB Bo Levi Mitchell are making their first career playoff starts.

The winner of today’s game will move on to the Grey Cup and face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who defeated the Montreal Alouettes 40-24 earlier today in the Eastern Final.
