Bombers' Jeffcoat (hip) to return vs. Alouettes

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will are getting a cornerstone of their defence back as the team's injury report lists Jackson Jeffcoat as active for their upcoming game against the Montreal Alouettes. 

The 31-year-old former Texas Longhorn returns to the Bombers' defence after missing the last two games with a hip injury. Jeffcoat is coming off his best season in 2021, where he recorded career highs in sacks (9) and forced fumbles (4) on top of racking up 26 tackles, earning him West Division and CFL All-Star honours and back-to-back Grey Cup titles. 

Jeffcoat has recorded seven tackles, an interception and a fumble In five games played this season. 

Greg Ellingson, who missed the last two games as well with a hip injury, remains out per the injury report.
