Clarkson to join Knicks
Jordan Clarkson is expected to sign with the New York Knicks after he clears free agency waivers.
He was officially bought out by the Utah Jazz on Monday. Clarkson, 33, averaged 16.2 points and 3.7 assists for the Jazz last season. He won the Sixth man of the Year Award in 2020-21.
Lopez agrees to two-year deal with Clippers
Centre Brook Lopez has agreed to a two-year, $18 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Lopez, 37, spent the past seven years with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he won a championship in 2021.
The 7-foot-1 big man has career averages of 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks in 1.105 games with the Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.
Russell to Mavs on two-year deal
Guard D'Angelo Russell has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
There is a player option in the second season of the deal.
Nuggets trade Porter Jr., bring back Brown
The Denver Nuggets have traded Michael Porter Jr. and an unprotected first-round pick in 2032 to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Cam Johnson, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Porter Jr., 27, has spent his entire career with the Nuggets after being selected 14th overall by the club in the 2018 NBA Draft. He has averaged 16.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 345 games over his seven-year career.
Johnson, 29, averaged a career-best 18.8 points with the Nets last season to go along with 4.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. He also hit a career-high 2.8 3-pointers per game on 39 per cent efficiency.
The Nuggets also brought back guard Bruce Brown on a one-year deal. Brown returns to the Nuggets after winning a title with the club in 2021.
Alexander-Walker, Kennard to Hawks
Free agent guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker has agreed to a four-year, $62 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks, reports ESPN's Shams Charania.
The deal includes a player option and a trade kicker.
Alexander-Walker, a Toronto native, averaged 8.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He averaged a career-best 25.3 minutes in 2024-25.
The 26-year-old was originally selected 17th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 Draft. He has played 381 career games, scoring 9.4 points per game to go along with 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
The Hawks also added Luke Kennard on a one-year, $11 million deal.
Kings to meet with guards Schroder, Westbrook
The Sacramento Kings have arranged meetings with guards Dennis Schroder and Russell Westbrook, according to NBA reporter Chris Haynes. Haynes adds the Kings are looking to sign both free agents veterans.
Schroder, 31, averaged 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 75 games with the Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, and Brooklyn Nets last season.
Westbrook, 36, spent last season with the Denver Nuggets where he averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 75 games. The former NBA MVP has averaged 21.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists in 1,237 career games with the Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Clippers.
Jazz make Clarkson buyout official
The Utah Jazz have finalized the buyout of guard Jordan Clarkson, according to The Athletic's Tony Jones. He will become an unrestricted free agent.
Clarkson, 33, averaged 16.2 points and 3.7 assists for the Jazz last season. He won the Sixth man of the Year Award in 2020-21.
Grizzlies sign Aldama to three-year deal
The Memphis Grizzlies have signed restricted free agent Santi Aldama to a three-year, $52.5 million deal to return to the team, reports ESPN's Shams Charania.
The 24-year-old averaged 12.5 points, 6.4 boards, and 2.9 assists last season, his fourth in the NBA. He has spent his entire career with the Grizzlies after being originally selected by the Utah Jazz and dealt to Memphis a week after the draft in exchange for Jared Butler and a 2022 second-round pick.
The Grizzlies are also expected to agree on a five-year, $240 million maximum extension with centre Jaren Jackson Jr., according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
The deal includes a player option in the final year of the contract in 2029-30.
The Grizzlies also agreed to a three-year, $28 million deal with guard Ty Jerome as well as guard Cam Spencer on a two-year, $4.5 million deal.
Rockets to sign Finney-Smith
The Houston Rockets and forward Dorian Finney-Smith have agreed to a four-year, $53 million deal, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
The Atlanta Hawks will send Capela to Houston via sign and trade in exchange for a second-round pick swap in 2031.
Reed to return to Pistons
Paul Reed and the Detroit Pistons have agreed to a two-year, $11 million deal, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Lakers agree to deal with LaRavia
The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a two--year, $12 million deal Jake LaRavia, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Jones agrees to return to Bulls
Guard Tre Jones will return to the Chicago Bulls on a three-year, $24 million deal, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Porter Jr. returns to Bucks
Kevin Porter Jr. and the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a two-year, $11 million deal with a player option in 2026-27, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Looney heads to New Orleans
Centre Kevon Looney has agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Looney spent 10 years in Golden State, winning three titles with the Warriors.

Guard Gary Trent Jr. will also return to Milwaukee on a two-year deal that will pay him $7.5 million, plus a player option, Charania added.
