The Stanley Cup playoff field is set. But one division title, four playoff seeds and four playoff matchups still hinge on two Sunday make-up games from a January snowstorm.

Who’d have thunk so much would ride on two out of 1,230 games?

On Jan. 23, when that snowstorm paralyzed the mid-Atlantic, the Anaheim Ducks were charging but still three points back of eighth place in the Western Conference. They were 12 points back of the Pacific division-leading Los Angeles Kings.

On Sunday, they can claim their fourth consecutive Pacific crown with a win in Washington.

Will Braden Holtby start back-to-back games on the eve of the playoffs to break Martin Brodeur’s single season wins record?

Will the Islanders line up against the Florida Panthers after the Panthers owner predicted earlier in the week they’d be the easier first-round opponent?

Stay tuned.
