Just two days after an altercation at practice, Montreal Alouettes quarterback Rakeem Cato walked away from a reporter after being asked a question he deemed disrespectful after practice at Tim Hortons Field.

Cato had spoken at length about the murder of a long-time friend in Miami this past week when a reporter joined the group and asked him to relate the story again. He then approached Cato away from the group of reporters and asked if he was being bullied by teammates. The 24-year-old walked away before later calling the reporter over and telling him he felt disrespected by the question.

Cato was involved in a verbal altercation with receivers Kenny Stafford and Duron Carter on Tuesday and was walked to the locker room by assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Kavis Reed.

Cato took over as the Alouettes' starting quarterback after veteran Kevin Glenn was traded to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this week.

The fourth-place Alouettes visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday (TSN, 7pm et/4pm pt).
