PARIS - Former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli has fuelled speculation of a possible comeback by asking her fans on social media if it would be a good idea.

The 30-year-old Bartoli retired from professional tennis a month after her Wimbledon triumph in 2013. She has since worked as a commentator and started a new career in fashion, launching a jewelry collection and a shoe line.

Bartoli, who struggled with injuries throughout her 14-year career, pondered an eventual comeback on Twitter, writing "Coming back or not coming back to #tennis? What do you think? Should I?"

Bartoli, whose signature two-handed groundstrokes helped her win Wimbledon without losing a set, played an exhibition match on grass against a 15-year-old junior last year but was forced to quit with a shoulder problem.
