TORONTO - Greg McKegg scored the shootout winner to lift the Toronto Marlies to a 1-0 victory over the visiting Rockford IceHogs in American Hockey League action on Sunday.
Antoine Bibeau stopped 33 shots through regulation and overtime for the Marlies (3-2-0), who bounced back from Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Rochester Americans.
Bibeau also made three saves in the shootout — stopping T.J. Brennan Garret Ross, and Alex Broadhurst —to secure the shutout victory.
Michael Leighton made 28 saves for the IceHogs (2-1-1), but couldn't keep McKegg, Spencer Abbott or Connor Brown from finding the back of the net in the shootout.
